GIVEAWAY TIME!

There's lots to celebrate today, with a beautiful writeup about Joolz on Daydream Lily's blog this morning! And a great little mention of our pop-up store in the Herald Sun today too. Plus a lovely article in Style Melbourne about our Eco Christmas party. Not to mention another lovely article from Little Waltz about the same event :) And of course there's the fact that I'm showing at New York Fashion Week in just under two months!!!

Some eagerly-anticipated new yellow beads finally arrived, & I have created an updated version of the butterfly bracelets.
And I've made some new pearl & crystal bracelets, and some little cameo drop earrings which I just love :)

So, with all these great things going on, I'm celebrating with a giveaway!

One lucky person will score big time, receiving both the pink and the black version of the new pearl & crystal bracelets, plus a pair of the new cameo drop earrings, and a neat little pack with thanks to Mirenesse (who make my favourite mascara) including their fab Secret Weapon Mascara, plus samples of their Endless Youth Magic Beads Botanical Cleanser and Endless Youth Ocean Milk Mousse Mask! This is such a great prize, I've been wearing my bracelets (yes, of course I had to make some for myself) nonstop, and I use my Secret Weapon Mascara a LOT! To go in the draw, please do one of the following:
Tweet about it, write on the Joolz fanpage, or make a comment on this blog = 1 entry per tweet etc in the draw
Purchase from the joolz website = 10 entries in the draw

Good luck everyone :)

A Very Eco Christmas, Process: Unstitched, and Xmas giveaways!

Last night we celebrated A Very Eco Christmas with Alex from EcoFashionista and Pauline from P.K. Walker at Insert Name Here, our pop-up shop in Georges. It was a fabulous night full of beautiful eco-friendly designs, lots of friends, new faces, eco-treats from Cocolo Chocolates, Slim Secrets and Link Candies, and organic vodka from everyone's new best friend, Ronnae from ASM Liquor!
Fabulous photographer Amaresh Wardha of Resonance Photo Media was on hand to take some snaps throughout the evening :)

Some more photos have come in, these are from Hamish of T-Shirt Garage fame :)

Tonight its our next door neighbours' turn, with the launch party for Process: Unstitched - yippee, its party season! Here's the official blurb from the Georges website: "An exhibition of fashion, photography, illustration and collaboration of works created during the Process: Unstitched open studio residency in Georges on Collins.
For nearly two months Process: Unstitched has been showcasing the talents of six young creatives working in the fashion industry in an open-studio environment. The participants came together to work in a communal environment putting their techniques, talents and output into the public eye.
A developing display of their visual and textile output will culminate in an exhibition of works created by the designers as well as various collaborations across different disciplines.
The stunning results of the residency will be exhibited on and around the working spaces of the designers providing a rare glimpse of the processes and produce of Melbourne's young fashion creatives.
Including works by She is Frank (fashion photography), Sarah Hankinson (fashion illustration), Park and Best, Violet & I and MADE BY WARREN (fashion designers)."

Aaaaand dear readers, if you have continued with me this far, then you will be thrilled to learn there is a little reward! For all this month, any sales made via the Joolz website will receive a Christmas gift: a pretty little foil heart bracelet in either red or blue:

So pop on over to www.joolz.com.au and buy your mum/sister/friend/colleague a gift (free giftwrapping is available if you are a joolz subscriber) and score yourself a little something too!

And yes, we’re having another party. This time its for T-Shirt Garage, who designs a range of rockin tees with classic Aussie cars emblazoned across the front. Each one is hand-printed right here in Melbourne, and a couple of our hottest actors snatched them up when they happened across them just recently!
You can ask Hamish (their designer) the story when you drop in on Thursday.
There will be a great chance to check these out with some lovely models strutting their stuff instore.

Hair pieces

Had some photos taken of my latest lot of hairpieces on Friday by lovely Pat Cameron. I've known Pat's son Toby for some years through a mutual friend and meeting his parents when I popped over to their property outside Dunkeld late on Friday afternoon was a real treat - they are absolutely lovely. I had received a text asking for product shots urgently and I was in quite a state as I was out of town for the weekend and didn't even have a camera with me - but I did have all my hairpieces, as I'd been planning on showing them to a few girls for the Dunkeld races (the races is why we were away for the weekend).
My friend Lu rang up their neighbours, as Pat is a photographer, and explained my dilemma, and Pat called back telling me to come over straight away so we could use the natural light (it was about 5pm by this time).
This is one of those times when I absolutely love the country. What had been a problem was resolved with a solution almost instantly due to the sharing and caring nature of the people around me. Pat was just so lovely, it took no time at all, and we had 15 photographs. I can't link them from Flickr at the moment but hopefully I'll be able to soon. In the meantime, you can see them on Pat's Flickr page here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/patnpete/sets/72157622793595814/

Perfume - one of my favourites

I love perfume. Only good perfume though. I find those trashy ones released with a celebrity's name slapped on them truly revolting. This is a big fave:
