Some more snaps - with the new Obi Rings & Opera Pearls!

Here's another shoot I loaned jewellery for last month; it was for the photographer's class assignment. It was called Absolute Art, and was all about the adornment of the body as art. The models were painted in glitter, and they posed very prettily even though it was apparently pretty uncomfortable stuff as it set rock hard. I like the colours. Its not something I'd use for a lookbook obviously coz you can't see the jewellery very clearly, but they are lovely pictures anyway.

2. You can see a couple of the Obi Rings here :)

3. Lots and lots of rings, and lots and lots of Opera Pearls :)

4. Forbidden Fruit necklaces, Disco Divalicious necklace, Purple Haze necklace and Obi Ring

5. Opera pearls aplenty!

6. Many Obi rings, pearls, army man necklaces, and big butterfly cloisonne earrings

7. You can see those big Obi rings pretty well in this pic.

8. I love the Spiral ring. You can also see a couple of Black Rose rings, a Cameo ring, and all those Opera Pearls too.

9. Forbidden Fruit necklaces & earrings, Disco Divalicious necklace & earrings, Purple Haze necklace, Dark Pink Rose ring and Pink Porcelain ring.

Some fun in Abbotsford

A few weeks ago I got together with photographer Stu, models Tori & Esh, and MUA & hair stylist Lysha-Maree for a bit of shooting at a lovely old convent in Abbotsford. Its a popular spot for photographers, but we managed to gad about for a few hours without getting in anyone else's way. The models wore some of my new joolz in front of a lens for the first time - you'll have to let me know what you think of the results!

Esh models the pink porcelain rose ring, with P.K. Walker eco-capelet.

Tori models a strand of Opera Pearls in earth tones wrapped around her wrist as a bracelet, with a P.K. Walker jacket.

Fashion+Aid

Fashion+Aid was a glamorous fundraiser for the Starlight Children's Foundation, a big fashion & entertainment evening at the Palladium Ballroom in Crown Casino on Saturday night. The sold-out event included 1000 guests enjoyed vying for loads of fabulous auction items and watching the entertainment.
The fabulous theatrical fashion show had a "Four Seasons In One Day" theme, with many of Australia's well-known designers getting involved, including JASONGRECH, Ed Hardy, Bardot, mesop, AprilMarie Swimwear, Travisty and BleeckerSt sashaying down the catwalk against a backdrop of multi-dimensional theatrical effects.
Hosted by Matthew Newton, the star of Underbelly 2, with a special appearance by Millie, the face of iSelect ("You'd have to be puffin' muffins" is my fave of her quotes), plus performances by TV Rocks DJ Grant Smillie and Melbourne Demon and It Takes Two performer Russell Robertson, accompanied by Phil Ceberano. Jason Coleman from ‘So You Think You Can Dance’ and his Ministry of Dance troupe certainly caused some excitement too.
I had the chance to watch some of the performance rehearsals during the day and was very impressed by choreographer Pete, all the dancers, singers, and models. Everyone worked hard to create a fabulous show, and did a wonderful job.
The crew from FTV were there to capture the event, I'm really looking forward to seeing how it looked from the front as of course I was backstage putting joolz onto models so didn't get to see anything of the final show from an audience viewpoint.

MSFW - Miss Green's Garden Party

Sunday 6 September saw us gearing up for the final day of Melbourne Spring Fashion Week. And what a lovely day it was. Off to The Willows on St Kilda Road we went, with a trunk-full of Joolz to adorn some of the models for Miss Green's Garden Party event.

Each of the designers involved in the event were challenged by Miss Green to create one dress using eco friendly methods and materials in their creations, which were auctioned at the end of the day, with 50% going to the designer's chosen charity. The designers involved in the parade included Joolz, Alexi Freeman, Anna Campbell, Eva Q, Lady Petrova, Nicolangela, Jenny Bannister, Miss Lyndel Yeo, Made in Donald, KBAD, Sara Victoria, Nikolina Concepts, Tiffany Treloar, Messina Designs, Leonard Street, Hair Fascinators and Hopeless Hotel (HH worn by Bec’s Garden Party Girls).

It was a beautiful setting, and a lovely afternoon. Lots of gorgeous lovely people about, and I would have chatted away all afternoon if I hadn't been dead on my feet from the previous week's activities! Not much sleep over the past week certainly caught up with me, and I was almost monosyllabic by the end of the day. However, it was great to catch up with a few people and admire the magnificent job that young Miss Green did in pulling together a very fabulous garden party.

Some photos from the fabulous folk at StyleMelbourne.com of the lovely models who were in joolz for the day:
